The Wine
A new and Trophy-winning vintage of the lavish Angas King Clare Valley Reserve Shiraz – hugely popular, a new vintage always creates excitement. This already boasts 94pts, a Double Gold and a Shiraz of the Year Trophy! It's from a very well-respected winemaking team at Greenock Estate based in the Barossa. This is the 2023 follow-iup vintage to the Trophy-winning 2021. The name Angas King denotes a range of premium Shiraz wines crafted from the four main wine regions of South Australia – Barossa Valley, Eden Valley, Clare Valley and McLaren Vale. The name honours the banker, pioneer and pastoralist, George Fife Angas who came to the region from England, and played a significant role in the formation and establishment of the free settled colony of South Australia., assisting many settlers, many of whom arrived with winegrowing heritages and planted some of the oldest South Australian vineyards.
