Wine Summary
Pinot Grigio is one of the most popular white wine styles in our cellars, loved for its refreshing, delicate flavours. And some of the best examples can be found in Italy. Specifically, the high-altitude Adige Valley. Here, the cooler climate delivers whites with pristine, citrusy fruit. Wines like this latest vintage of Sentiero dei Pini, crafted by local expert Giuseppe Secchi. It's named after a famous local vineyard – on a cone-shaped hill that was once home to a Roman temple, approached by a spiralling path, lined with pine trees. Truly thirst quenching, this wine displays crisp lemon and green apple flavours, with a sophisticated, minerally edge. It’s a 'drink anytime' wine, but perhaps best enjoyed with antipasti and fresh seafood.

Wine Summary
Manera reveals the Cortese grape’s citrus and almond tang in all its refreshing glory. The wine comes from Castel Boglione, the only town in the region on the valley floor. Once covered in thick woodland, and often dense fog, the area had an unsavoury reputation for bandits and thieves. Today its reputation is based solely on quality wines. This is the closest thing to a steal here these days – a well priced ‘little Gavi’ that winemaker Claudio Manera is proud to put his name to. It has a freshly sliced green apple aroma with hints of almond. And, like great Gavi, it has what the experts call ‘energy’ in the glass – meaning it’s pure, tangy and fresh. A lovely aperitivo that's also great with tuna carpaccio or pea and fennel risotto.

Wine Summary
We first met Dino when he began restoring his grandfather's earthquake-struck vineyard, high in the Sicilian hills. You loved the wine it made - Tenuta Fenice. Not one to sit back, he's started another ambitious new project called w/o - wine made without compromise. He first made a Frappato red, then a crisp rosato and now this rare white. It's made from Lucido (the best clone of the Catarratto grape), all grown organically thanks to Sicily's warm, dry climate and Dino's diligence. It's bottled in 100% recycled glass too, known as 'wild' glass. You may notice a little variation in colour, perhaps a few tiny bubbles. All part of the charm, as is the wine's herbal-scented peach fruit. Chill and sip with seafood and lighter dishes.

Wine Summary
Northern Italian Pinot Grigio tends to be a stony fresh, subtle fruit white. That's true of Il Pino, but the wine has just a little bit more, too. Riper orchard fruit, with citrus freshness and it’s always good value. It comes from the high-altitude Adige Valley, just inland from Venice and home to some of the best quality Pinot Grigio in Italy. Plentiful sunshine and cooling mountain breezes together ensure healthy, ripe grapes with excellent aromatics. Deliciously fresh and thirst quenching, this wine displays crisp lemon and grapefruit flavours, white stone fruit and a minerally edge. It’s a ‘drink anytime’ wine, but perhaps best enjoyed as an aperitivo or with grilled white fish, prawn or spring vegetable risotto or leafy summer salads.
