The Wine
A stunning Cabernet Shiraz from Halliday’s Winery of the Year 2016. Tahbilk, owned by the Purbrick family - a founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wine, has a unique heritage of being the oldest family-owned winery and vineyard in Victoria. “It makes wines – particularly red wines – utterly in keeping with that tradition. The essence… comes from tiny quantities of Shiraz made from vines planted in 1860” (Halliday). Dark plum, blackberry, cassis and a vanillin streak thnaks to time spent in French and American oak.
