Whicher Estate has been named a Halliday 'Dark Horse' Winery, and also one of Australia’s top 300 wineries by The Real Review. It's owned (and run) by Neil and Cathy Howard, a vigneron and winemaker couple with a combined 45 years of experience between them. Their Rosé is gorgeous ... a joyous melange of bright fruit on a lovely crisp, dry palate. It's truly delicious holiday drinking.
Since the launch of the first Yarrunga Field, Sam Trimboli has been delighting customers with his fabulous wines and winning awards. They don't call him 'Mr Medals' for nothing! Only in the last four years has he set up his own family winery and, in our opinion, is producing even better wines. He has made us the dark, spicy Black Duck from Durif, and the White Chardonnay Pinot Grigio Duck, but this is his first, and very delicious, rosé. Sam is from Italian heritage – his grandfather grew vines in Italy 90 years ago and his parents emigrated here in 1967 – so perhaps it's of no surprise that he has used nearly all Montepulciano here. A splash of Vermentino adds extra lemony zip. A pretty hue, lovely ripe fruit and zesty freshness.
Named after roses that surround Leconfield's McLaren Vale cellar door each summer, the 'La Sevillana' Rosé is wonderful when chilled as an aperitif to be enjoyed before a long lunch. This is an elegant yet flavoursome wine made in a dry style but with round mouthfeel. It finishes clean and crisp.
McPherson's modern, textural range of La Vue Wines has been created with beauty in mind. The gentle imagery on the label reflects the delicate, bespoke nature of each of the wines. Fruit for the Rose was harvested from their vineyards in April 2019. The juice was run off the skins early in order to extract only the perfect amount of colour and then inoculated and fermented cool. This allowed the retention of the summer berry characters, as well as retaining colour and intensity. The entire process from juice to bottle was less than six weeks, keeping the wine fresh and vivacious. Serve chilled with Asian or Spanish inspired spicy rice, white meat or seafood dishes. Think seafood paella, prawn risotto or chilli crab. Or enjoy with friends and antipasto on a sunny afternoon.
Named in honour of the cute little polka-dotted predators who prey on tiny pests in the Zonte's Footstep vineyards, keeping the fruit pristine. The select parcels of fruit become the ultimate mélange of prettiness and punch (fruit punch that is). Their two-time Gold-winning Fleurieu Rosé is filled with lively rose petal, strawberries and cream.
Extremely drinkable, this amazing Rosé is remarkable not just because of it's scrumptious redcurrant, strawberry, turkish delight and spice flavours, but because it's crafted by ex-Penfolds Chief Red Winemaker Mark Farmilo- he made Penfolds Grange and won theprestigious Jimmy Watson Trophy twice. So this is bound to be great!
