The fruit for Blackberry Patch comes from one block in the heart of the Langhorne Creek and another in the Blewitt Springs sub-region of McLaren Vale. Plush and silky cassis-rich Cabernet Sauvignon (95%) with a dash of red-berry Tempranillo (5%) – this is juicy, mouthfilling stuff. As the folk at Zonte’s Footstep like to say, they take their vineyards and their wines seriously, but not themselves. As per usual for Zonte’s Footstep, it’s a multi-medal winner too. “"Delectably styled and composed, the wine shows dark fruit richness together with smoked game, almond and fragrant spice notes on the nose. It's plump and succulent, offering fabulous fruit power, well supported by silky texture and fine tannins with a prolonged delicious finish... 94pts” (Sam Kim, Wine Orbit).
