Our buyer for Chile, Leonardo Bassano, is always on the lookout for a one-off parcel of wine that needs a home. And comes at a good value price. Here if we have exactly that – it’s from a terrific winery in Cachapaol that regularly wins high scores from the world’s top critics. The vineyards lie at 600 metres altitude, which is perfect for clear, warm sunny days and cold nights, which bring out maximum freshness and aroma in a wine. This Limited Release white is a tangy-fresh blend of premium Chardonnay and just a smidge of grassy, lemony Sauvignon Blanc. All cool fermented, it offers bright tropical fruit, hints of apricot and peach, with a core of citrusy acidity. A very refreshing white, ideal with panfried fish or solo.
