The Wine

New fresh, elegant, exclusive Aussie Chardonnay using fruit from premium vineyards in Adelaide Hills fruit and a 130-year-old-plus family estate.

Angove Family Winemakers – founded in 1886 and now run by siblings Richard and Victoria Angove – remains proudly independent. We’re drawn to producers who share our strong sense of family – their wines just seem to have more personality and flavour. Though it was Dr. William Angove who founded the company in 1886 in South Australia after emigrating from Cornwall in the UK, it was his son Thomas ‘Skipper Carlyon Angove who cemented Angove Family Winemakers as a significant player in the Australian wine scene with both fortified and table wines. They still make gin, and of course their famous St Agnes brandies today. The new generation continue to pioneer modern styles of wine with a focus on sustainability.
