Bill Calabria has won hundreds of awards for the wines he crafts with his team at his family's cellar in NSW. This Chardonnay is matured in premium oak, an opulent white balancing ripe tropical fruit with buttery notes and lovely freshness.

Westend is the Calabria Family estate, and we've worked with them for several decades. The Calabria team includes Emma Norbiato, who has been shortlisted for Halliday’s Winemaker of the Year. Emma has worked at Castelgiocondo in Tuscany, Penfolds and Casella, and received widespread recognition for her winemaking skills, including a ‘Winemaker of the Year’ title in 2016 at the Australian Women in Wine Awards, and being a finalist for Gourmet Travellers 2019 'Winemaker of the Year'. She is a respected wine judge and a Len Evans Tutorial Scholar. Bill Calabria has won hundreds of awards for the wines he crafts with his team at the family's cellar. Together they have produced over 40 trophy-winning wines.



Westend Estate No.1 Chardonnay

This seemingly sun-filled white has been a customer favourite for years and years. Anfd now the popular Yarrunga Field is being made once more by its original maker, Sam Trimboli.

The Yarrunga Field label wines are once again being made by Sam Trimboli, who created the first (extremely popular) Yarrungas a couple of decades ago. Yarrunga Field white is as much "Aussie sunshine in a glass" (Oz Clarke/Jilly Goolden) as it was when it was launched over 20 years ago. A few refinements have been made, tweaks to the mix of grapes, but ultimately it exudes fruitiness, freshness and intensity in perfect measure. And at 12.5% it makes a terrific pre-dinner drink. There's no doubt why so many customers just keep coming back for more – it’s just so easy drinking. Serve chilled on its own or with spicy prawn or squid stir-fry.

The Schild Estate can boast vines over 170 years old. This multi-Gold, 95pt Reserve Shiraz named after Patriarch Ben Schild is from the exceptional 2021 Barossa vintage, is absolutely delicious and has many accolades to back that up!

The Schild Estate can boast Shiraz vines planted by Ann Jacobs in 1847. The Schild's first arrived in Australia in 1866, and the family moved to the Barossa and purchased vineyards here in 1952. They did not make their first 'Schild' branded wine until 1998, but the reputation of the estate grew steadily. Although the five-star-rated estate is no longer owned by the family, the estate's vineyards are all still under the family's control. This Ben Schild Reserve is named in honour of Ben Schild , who died suddenly back in 1956, leaving son Ed Schild to manage the business. This 2021 boasts three Golds and several scores of 94-95pts. It is, as Sam Kim Wine Orbit writes: "Instantly appealing with blackberry, vanillin oak, clove, game and cocoa aromas, it's plump and opulent in the mouth with plush texture backed by loads of silky tannins, finishing robust and sturdy with seductive complexity. 95pts"  WinePilot complements its "sumptuous palate... bright and vibrant with tremendous juicy ripe fruits..." “There's a real creaminess that I like here. It's not an oak creaminess, more so a plum and blueberry cream with underlying hints of dark-chocolate-dipped cherries, blackforest cake, vanillin oak, panforte, olive tapenade, violets and earth. Luscious and mouth-filling with fine tannins and a velvety flow at the back end. It's a lovely contemporary Barossa shiraz. 95pts, Great Value.” Dave Brookes, The Halliday Wine Companion.

Schild Estate Ben Schild Reserve Single Vineyard Barossa Valley Shiraz

As bright and refreshing as its label would imply, this is Garnacha Blanca from Navarra’s high mountain vineyards. Here the pure sunshine and clear nights deliver wines that sing with freshness. Lemon crisp with a lifted herbal and floral aroma.

Spain’s Navarra is full of surprises, producing styles from traditional and oaky to the most modern and fresh. Flor de San Martín is certainly in the latter camp. A brilliantly zippy, fabulously fresh white made only from grapes grown in high-altitude vineyards in the foothills of the Pyrenees. The little rain and dizzy heights found there result in wines full of intense crisp fruit and lifted herbal aromas (flavours that are unique to the region), like this 2021. It’s made by winemaker Gonzalo Zelayeta, who works his magic at the modern San Martín de Unx winery, founded back in 1914. Using select parcels of hand-harvested grapes, this is a truly refreshing white that's full of character. Enjoy well chilled with lighter dishes or seafood.

Flor de San Martín Garnacha Blanca

Here's a wonderfully crisp, lemon-zipped Aussie white with a distinct Italian accent that has won two trophies and five Golds over the last two vintages. Made by the brilliant Sam Trimboli, it has pleasing creaminess, shot through by zingy freshness.

Sam Trimboli is one of Australia's most in-demand winemakers. But after 30-odd years working for other wineries, he took the big step in 2018 of setting up on his own – and we backed him every step of the way. In return, Sam created this cracking white just for us – and from the first release it has impressed both customers and show judges alike. This is the fourth release of this tangy-fresh white, made nearly all from Trebbiano, a grape variety from Italy that loves the heat of Riverina in Oz, bringing a riper, juicier style to the wine. This new release has a small portion of Vermentino and the merest peck of oak to bring a tone of creamy weight to the crisp citrus flavours. It makes great solo sipping or pair with lighter dishes.

Trimboli Salvatore Trebbiano

Delicious, crisp pink from France’s most elegant source for fine rosé, Provence. Long hours of sun and cooling sea breezes produce wines with subtlety and balance, as you’d expect from this well-heeled area. Pretty berry notes with citrusy zip.

Provence is the absolute epicentre of fine rosé. Warm sunshine and cooling breezes from the Med encourage the elegant fruit flavours the region is known for. It’s the style the rich and famous love to sip as they enjoy the sunshine of the Côte d’Azur. This is a delicious new find from a small cellar in Aix-en-Provence, next door to where neoclassical painter François-Marius Granet lived. The grapes are from Jean-Didier’s vineyard where Mediterranean olive trees overlook the vines, and the finest Provence varieties, Grenache and Syrah, are night-harvested and hand-picked for an elegant rosé. Subtle berry fruit with a classic savoury edge and bright lemony zip – this wine is delightful on its own or with seafood or lighter vegetarian dishes.
