Nowadays, an old photo of Fire and her foal sits on the mantlepiece in the winery’s tasting room. Visitors can picture her unbridled joy with this opulent, ruby-red Merlot. Its grapes are from Robertson, the valley of wine and roses, the limestone-rich soils of which offer some of South Africa’s best winegrowing areas. A hot sunny climate, cooled by ocean breezes, result in fruit filled wines.
This Merlot is full of ripe plum, cassis and a hint of chocolate, this red makes juicy, easy drinking.
