Flor de San Martín Garnacha Navarra Rosé 2023

Spain’s Navarra is full of surprises, producing styles from traditional and oaky to the most modern and fresh. Flor de San Martín is certainly in the latter camp. A pretty rosado with bright berry fruit and a lift of aniseed. It’s made from grapes grown in high-altitude vineyards in the foothills of the Pyrenees. The little rain and dizzy heights of the area result in wines full of intense crisp fruit and lifted herbal aromas (flavours that are unique to the region). Just what you’ll find in this fruity pink. It’s made by winemaker Gonzalo Zelayeta, who works his magic at the modern San Martín de Unx winery. Using select parcels of hand-harvested grapes, this is a rosado full of character. Enjoy well chilled with lighter dishes or seafood.
