The Wine
The Hunter’s story is the story of Marlborough wine. Hunter’s is the dream of Ernie and Jane Hunter - a fiercely independent, family-owned winery established in Marlborough. From their very first vintage in 1982 Hunter’s wines won six medals at the National Wine Show. It's also the estate whose Sauvignon was one of the first Kiwis on the world stage, thanks to Tony Laithwaite. This is their beautiful 2023 Chardonnay. It boastseautiful flavours of grapefruit and citrus with some white peach undertones. Complex and flinty nose complements a tightly structured palate that shows bright stone fruit and toasted hazelnuts.
