The Wine
Hervé Fabre is Bordelais born and bred. However, he wanted to explore winemaking further afield and, in the 1990s, fell in love with Argentina and its old-vine Malbec. He recognised its potential to make some of the best wines in the world and set out to prove it. In fact, he started something of a stampede and some of Bordeaux's grandest names, like Rothschild, Léoville Poyferré and Michel Rolland, have followed him! He established a winery in Mendoza (and now one in Patagonia) and has been planting evermore extreme vineyards.
