We first started working with winemaker Kevin Mitchell over 20 years ago, not long after he had rocked the Clare Valley Wine Show by winning five out of seven Trophies. This was in 2002, just five years after he had founded the winery. Our Aussie buyer at the time got to know him and he agreed to make us an exclusive special project red – and Baroota Reserve was born. It reached No.1 spot in our Customer Choice Awards Top 12 for several years and has never been too far from the top spot. Kilikanoon continued to go from strength to strength. Though Kevin has now moved on from Kilikanoon, the great winery still makes Baroota just for us. A regular Gold-winner, this 2020 vintage has won Gold and Double Gold.
