Monowai Hawkes Bay Merlot 2020

Monowai owners Emma Lowe and Marcelo Nunez developed their winemaking skills on both sides of the Pacific Ocean – in New Zealand and Chile. The Monowai name refers to the single expanse of ocean that separates their homelands. Bright and fruity, this friendly Merlot shows dark plum, blueberry, floral and hazelnut characters on the nose with subtle dried herb complexity. The palate is juicy and smooth with youthful fruit flavours and delicate tannins, leading to a lingering smooth finish. Very approachable and easy to enjoy.
