The Wine
Located in the heart of Hawke’s Bay, Tironui Estate is a vineyard of five acres established by Richard & Jennifer Brown in 2002. Nestled just below 'Sugarloaf' in Taradale, it overlooks Mission Estate, with views across Napier and out to Cape Kidnappers in the distance. The climate is maritime influenced, dry and temperate, with hot summers and cool winters – the ideal conditions for growing premium reds, like this beautiful Bordeaux-style blend of Malbec (51%), Merlot (42%), and Cabernet (7%). The higher percentage of Merlot flavours are balanced with the primary fruit character of the Malbec component and the bold tannins of Cabernet that will meld with bottle age.
