In 2007 Decanter named both father and son José Alberto and Sebastián Zuccardi as among the most influential figures in Argentinian wine. They carry on the innovative work begun by Don Alberto, who, in the 1950s, started an irrigation business, then planted a vineyard to demonstrate how his system could benefit grape quality. The family also developed a special 'parral' trellis system which lifts the vines into a series of verdant arches so the leaves can bask in the sun's rays while the grapes are protected from burning. Their dedication to quality has helped put Argentina's wines at the forefront of the world stage. Alambrado is wonderful proof of their expertise - a crisp, aromatic white.
