The Wine
A silky, juicy Syrah from Spain from Spain, from steep vineyards 600 metres high and 30 miles inland from Valencia. While Spanish holidaymakers flock to Valencia’s beaches, the sunny arid hills further inland are a haven of calm. There this varietal ripens to perfection, with cool nights lending balance and finesse. Winemaker Marta Martinez’s deft touch ensures this ripe, intense red is gorgeously smooth but not overpowering. Perfect with spicy chorizo and bean stew, roast pork or sausages.
