Schild Estate Barossa Shiraz 2016

Schild Estate was established over 60 years ago, when Ben and Alma Schild bought land and a small vineyard in Rowland Flat in the southern part of the Barossa Valley. Ed Schild, the youngest son of Ben and Alma, has since grown the Schild holdings to over 450 acres of prime Barossa vineyards. Schild’s is very much a family affair, and you can still shake hands with family members from three generations at their beautiful cellar door in Lyndoch. In 2009, Ed realised his dream of producing estate-made wines by building the Schild’s ‘Valley of Hope’ winery. Aromatic red and black berry fruits combine with dark chocolate and delicious fruitcake spice on a smooth, mouthcoating palate. A dark, layered, sumptuous treat, with THREE Gold medals to its name.
