Soumah is a venture of the Butcher family, headed by Frank Wynyard Butcher, who crafts wines that mimick the charm of Northern Italy. From its first vintage this golden single vineyard Savagnin was collecting accolades including trophies at the Federation Square Wine Showcase plus no less than 14 medals and trophies. “Savarro is Soumah’s name for savagnin, an ancient variety, the forefather of many western European varieties.
