Thorn-Clarke Mount Crawford Eden Valley Riesling 2018

A beauty from one of the coldest places in South Australia. The Mount Crawford Vineyard owned by Five Red Star Halliday-rated Thorn Clarke (a favourite also with Robert Parker) is situated just below the weather station on Mount Crawford, which regularly records the coldest temperatures in South Australia. Not great conditions for the pruners and vineyard workers, but fantastic for making cool, classy, zesty, minerally, intensely flavoured Rieslings like this gorgeous Gold-medal example. It's a fantastic match to fresh oysters ... try it and see!
