Tre Stelle Greco Fiano 2020

Want to enjoy some unusual grape varieties? Greco and Fiano are two of Italy's most characterful but, finicky to grow, they aren't planted widely. Remote Basilicata, one of Italy's most mountainous regions, excels with both and winemaker Dennis Verdicchia is a champion of them. Gaining experience all over Italy, as well as in Argentina, South Africa and New Zealand, Dennis met the highly regarded wine consultant Alberto Antonini in South America. Alberto was so impressed with Dennis, he asked him to return with him to Basilicata. Now they work together and this is one of their star wines. Scoring a high 95 points from Luca Maroni, this lovely creamy lemony white has a gentle touch of tropical fruits. Just the ticket solo or with chicken.
