Situated in Santa Cruz de Mudela, the ancient gateway to Moorish Spain, Bodegas Fernando Castro is one of the country's oldest wineries. The award winning estate was founded by Marcos Castro Torres in 1850 and has remained in the same family for six generations.

From the outstanding 2005 vintage, this silky smooth Tempranillo delivers intense red berry fruit with a long, oaky finish. Perfect with roast chicken, it'll make a fine partner to lamb chops, meatballs in tomato sauce, tapas or a mature cheese like Manchego, too.
