Winemaker Milagros Rodriguez selects only the finest parcels from Bodegas de Sarria, an esteemed estate located along the historic Pilgrim’s Way near Pamplona. Aged for two years in a combination of American and French oak, then rested in bottle, it reveals layers of ripe, silky berry fruit, toasty vanilla, warming spice, all carried through to a long, satisfying finish. Velvety yet structured, complex yet graceful, it pairs beautifully with roast beef, lamb, rich casseroles, or a generous board of aged cheeses. Decant an hour before serving.
