Visionario 2020

We’ve worked with Alessandro Gallici for over 20 years now – he’s the winemaker behind many of our most popular northern Italian wines and our best-selling Prosecco. For a long time, he was head winemaker at a top cellar in Friuli. However his vision was to break away and make a Venezie ‘Super White’ as good as top names Felluga, Jermann and the like, but at a down-to-earth price. He decided to set up on his own and we backed him all the way. His vision is a blend of the best grapes of the vintage, so the exact mix changes each year. Always aromatic, with abundant pretty fruit, the 2020 comprises Friulano, Gewurztraminer, Sauvignon and Chardonnay. It’s the kind of wine you find in chic Italian restaurants and spot on with risotto.
