Welcome to Black Friday, and to kick things off we have a visit from old friend Mr. T. Incredible winemaker, Sam Trimboli, has always made some of our biggest selling, most popular and BEST VALUE wines. His medal-winning record is PHENOMENAL – as the track record of these reds shows.

Sam’s mighty Black Duck Durif 2025 has flown in. This amazing favourite won Gold on debut – then again in each of its subsequent vintages. All in all it boasts SEVEN Trophies, 14 Golds, Top Gold and Double Gold included, scores of 95 & 96pts. Flying alongside in today’s case is another of Sam’s Duck family, his Purple Duck Cabernet, a dark, juicy treat in only its second vintage.

His Salvatore Malbec Shiraz Durif – a punchy triple-whammy blend won Gold on debut and has notched up five Golds in five vintages. Using fruit from growers Sam has worked with for years, he takes succulent Malbec, adds a hefty whack of spicy Shiraz, and his favourite, Durif, ages this for months in French oak barrels, for a smooth, ripe and layered, moreish red.

Decades ago, Sam introduced us to the Yarrunga Field wines – hugely popular with customers and regularly bringing in Golds. Last year, after a considerable hiatus, Sam's was back in charge making this very popular red. That 2024 vintage again delivered Gold and 95pts! Here’s the newly released Yarrunga Field Special Reserve Shiraz 2025.
